Workflows, Plants and Transitions

Since our last newsletter our team has been working closely with our TD Ameritrade Institutional advisors to help prepare them and their clients for the long-awaited conversion to the Schwab platform on September 5th. Our team has been diving deep into transition guides, attending webinars, talking with integration partners, and comparing notes to ensure we have the latest information.

Our teams have also been sharing their knowledge on ways in which advisor and client experiences or terminology differ on the Schwab platform, allowing our advisors to be proactive in communicating these changes to their clients or updating internal processes for a smooth transition.

For some advisors, the TD-Schwab merger prompted them to evaluate alternative custodians. After sharing their knowledge and helping advisors evaluate the pros and cons of each platform for their specific firm needs, our teams have been working closely with advisors and their clients to support the transition to custodian platforms such as Equity Advisor Solutions or Altruist.

While our teams have been staying busy with the transition preparation and the usual influx of summer projects, we also made time to get out of the office for our Quarterly Team Meeting!

You may already know that our quarterly meetings are a time when our entire staff comes together for some camaraderie as well as training and to discuss their work with others in their peer group. It is a key component of continuing to maintain and improve the service we provide you.

This quarter’s training was on creating, troubleshooting, and implementing workflows. We talked about the value of a workflow, the hallmarks of good workflows, how to spot (and fix!) a bottleneck or breakdown, and the importance of regularly re-evaluating them. We also spent some time comparing how the workflow features of different CRMs can impact the flow or flexibility of a workflow, and when integrations such as Zapier and Hubly make sense.

After lunch, we decided to grow in a different direction

Party’n With Plants

Each of our team members created their very own succulent fairy garden, terrarium, or moss wall art! A local woman-owned business, Party N’ With Plants, delivered our fun kits that contained everything we needed, and we loved seeing how everyone added their own bit of personality to their personal garden! Below are a few of their designs.
