Need Help Driving Traffic on Your Social Media Platforms?
Try Posting Shareable Images!
They say a picture says a thousand words and when combined with famous quotes, inspiration and useful tips they say even more. That’s why posting compelling Shareable Images has become an increasingly powerful tool that is known to drive traffic to your blog or website, garner likes, comments and better yet, “shares” (The golden ticket of social media marketing!).
According to Social Media Examiner, “People are drawn to visual content and take action based on its subtle cues faster than any other medium–faster than text, audio or video. Brands that can leverage the power of original, optimized images are getting noticed.”
Michael Hyatt, Virtual Mentor for Entrepreneurs, knows the power of Shareable Images.
So what kind of images should you create?
If you know who your target audience is, it’s easy as 1, 2, 3!
- Create images and infographics that appeal directly to your target audience. Some of the more popular images are short quotes of inspiration, how-tos, Holiday greetings, famous quotes and fun facts.
- Use graphic tools such as Canva to create images with eye-popping backgrounds (in your company colors) and images that relate back to what you’re sharing.
- Brand your images! When creating an image, always brand with at least one of the following: your logo, website URL , Facebook, Instagram or Twitter handle. This is not only your copyright notice, but as your images become popular and are shared, others will want to know where they originated and who to follow for more.
Be Consistent!
Once you’ve created your images and start posting, be consistent by posting daily, and preferably at the same time each day (you can do this with a number of social media tools such as MeetEdgar, Hootsuite and others). By posting daily and at the same time, your audience will start to look forward to your image posts and you won’t want to disappoint!
