Our Solar Eclipse Review – April 8, 2024
It’s been one week since the historic total solar eclipse 2024 happened here in Northeast Ohio on Monday, April 8th and everyone is still talking about it.
If you have never experienced a total solar eclipse before, let me just say that it was pretty awesome and amazing. Some of our staff described it as magical, breathtaking, eerie, spooky, unbelievable, and even a spiritual experience. We all agreed that it was an experience we would never forget, at least not anytime soon.
As you may know, we closed at noon on that day so that our staff could take part in the various celebrations that were being planned. Many of the staff took photos and we posted on our social media channels but for those that missed them, we wanted to share with you some of the fun we had.

Account Manager, Kelly G, took her kids to the local park to enjoy the afternoon event. Pictured above is her son, Grant, who is very interested in astronomy. Below are photos Kelly took of the different phases of light during the eclipse.
TOI Account Administrator, Casey M. with Mr. Bear. The yellow bow is for her son, Jarrod, who officially deployed at 9 am that morning.
Pictured below a shot of the sun in Account Manager, Tracey A’s, backyard.
As for James and I, we spent the weekend in Wapakoneta, OH. Hometown of ‘First On The Moon’ Neil Armstrong.
It was the perfect town to celebrate the sun and the moon … as well as MY BIRTHDAY! Which just happen to be the same day as the solar eclipse!
The photo below was taken in front of the Neil Armstrong Air and Space Museum. It’s a must see place to visit!
TOI Account Coordinator, Vicky S.with her two grand kids, Erik and Sophie.
Her husband, Cale, photographed and video taped the show for a memory to watch again and again!
We hope you enjoyed getting a glimpse into the fun some of us had outside the office on such a memorable day!
Sincerely,
James and Sherry Carnahan
and your Total Office Team.
